A Light in the Window

Title: A Light in the Window
Author: Jan Karon
Genre: Fiction

Jan Karon did it again! A Light in the Window is the second book in the Mitford Series. A Light in the Window picks up where At Home in Mitford left off.

Father Tim has just returned from his stay in Ireland and is thrown into the busy lifestyle of rector and bachelor. Although he is in his early 60's, life does not slow down at all for this man. He must stay on task to find a proper prep school for Dooley Barlow and see that construction is underway for Hope House. Meanwhile, Cousin Meg decides to move in to the rectory...un-invited. All of this on top of the beautiful next door neighbor, Cynthia Coopersmith who continues to pull at his heartstrings.

The book is perfectly describes as gentle fiction. As a fan of more upbeat books that involve more drama, I just don't understand how and why I am drawn to these books. All I know is that I just can't put them down. Just as soon as I finished A Light in the Window, I immediately started into These High Green Hills, the 3rd book in the series.
