This novel isn't too long and the story line seems to move. It's one of those books that have the ending you hoped it will be. However, for me personally, it wasn't a "happy" book. It was merely the story of how a widower and his family put the pieces of their life back together after a tragic loss. Although loss is part of the circle of life, it is a topic I personally don't like dwelling upon. Your viewpoint may be different.
