A Word from our Author

Last week when I finished reading Whence Came a Prince, I just had to email Liz Curtis Higgs to tell her how much I enjoyed the series. Right away I got a response back. Here are a few snippets from her email regarding a previous post entitled Mad Mary/Mary Magdalene unveiled:

Since you graciously reviewed Mad Mary / Unveiling Mary Magdalene and raised two valid questions--when it was re-released and why the cover / title change--I thought I'd fill you in! :>))

Ever since Mad Mary was released in September 2001, I've watched people pick it up at booksignings, wrinkle their brow, and murmur things like, "Which Mary?" and "Who's she mad at?" After The Da Vinci Code came out, I begged my publisher to consider doing a repackage of Mad Mary, both to make the cover better fit the Bad Girls of the Bible books, since it's written in the same style, and to offer a title that better suited the content. So in May 2004, out came Unveiling Mary Magdalene. Identical content, just a new look and title.

I also asked her a question about her next series (if you have not read Whence Came a Prince and would like too, you may want to stop reading here, although it's not a total plot buster).

Q. Will your next book Grace in Thine Eyes include Jamie & Leana assuming it's Davina's story?

A. Yes, yes, and yes! The year is 1808, Davina is now 17 (and Ian soon to be 19). The story is based on Genesis 34--Dinah's story. Do watch for it in March 2006!
