Hot Reads for Summer!
Well, now that summer is finally and officially here, I thought I would post my personal favorite top ten fiction books. I think these books are great and they are not necessarily in order. They'll make for great reading on the beach, on the road or by the campfire and this list will probably be different next year at this time.
Some of these books like Hawk and the Jewel have been out for some time now while others like Monster are brand new this year.
1. The Broker by John Grisham
2. The Hawk and the Jewel by Lori Wick
3. The Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers
4. Monster by Frank Peretti
5. The Lowlands of Scotland Series by Liz Curtis Higgs
6. Hadassah, One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney
7. Shadow Women by Angela Elwell Hunt
8. The List by Robert Whitlow
9. The Last Juror by John Grisham
10. Flabbergasted by Ray Blackston

I absoutly love that Kingston Chronicles Series. I've been watching garage sales for them to pop up!
I'm really liking Bambi right now. But, Oh Mary Be Careful, was definitly educational.
Lisa, I do have some of these books and I don't mind loaning them out (as long as they get returned so I can keep track of them!). The Hibbing library is also a wonderful resource for many titles. You can access the library online and do a search through the entire Arrrowhead Library system. There are a handful of well stocked church libraries that are part of this system that make it great for Christian Fiction fans. While you are online, you are able to request a book from anywhere in the Arrowhead and have it delivered right to the Hibbing library. They will notify you by snail mail or email when your book arrives. (Have your library card handy, you will need it to access your account online.) This is a very handy service because then you can look for books you want right in your own home.
Also, the Hibbing public library has an adult reading program during the winter months! It's similar to the children's reading program, only there are drawings for prizes. Adults don't get to pick out blow up beach balls or lady bug binoculars.
